Gratitude, Growth, and Trust in the Work
As November winds down, we’ve been thinking about what it means to build something lasting with clarity, with care, and with people you trust. At Collective Growth, we are so grateful to support leaders who are navigating real challenges with heart and purpose. In this issue, we’re sharing a few tips to lead from abundance, a recent story from our advising work, and a podcast conversation that offers a refreshing take on what trust in leadership actually looks like.
Advising That Meets You in the Hard Places
Every organization experiences change, whether it’s a shift in leadership, a merger, rapid growth, turnover, new systems, or a fresh vision for what’s next. These moments can bring disruption, but they don’t have to derail us or our teams. With the right support, change can become an opportunity to realign, clarify, and move forward with purpose. At Collective Growth, we support organizations through change with grounded guidance, practical tools, and a thoughtful approach that keeps people at the center of the process.
Recently, we supported a client through a significant leadership transition. Our advising created space for shared clarity between the CEO and COO about the company’s direction and next steps. The result?
- Strengthened C-suite alignment and communication during a critical inflection point
- Navigated a sensitive leadership transition with clarity, care, and organizational integrity
- Ensured long-term executive stability while continuing to scale through a period of rapid growth
We never take it lightly when a client invites us into the heart of their business. It’s a responsibility we’re grateful for, and one we’re built to support.

Lead from Abundance: Gratitude in Action
As we move into Thanksgiving week, it’s a natural time to reflect on what we’re grateful for. But beyond personal reflection, gratitude can be a powerful leadership practice. In fast-moving workplaces, it’s easy to zero in on what’s not working or what still needs to get done. But when we pause to acknowledge progress, recognize growth, and appreciate the steady effort our teams are making, we shift the energy in the room.
This week, consider opening a meeting by naming one thing that’s working or one way the team has shown up well. A small moment of recognition can create the conditions for trust, clarity, and renewed momentum, without adding anything to the to-do list. Gratitude reminds us we’re not in this alone. And that’s something worth celebrating.

Leading Through Trust
You Don’t Have to Have All the Answers
Ever feel like the weight of your role is holding you back from leading the way you want to? Bob Jameson, CEO of Visit Fort Worth, knows that feeling. He’s led through major shifts: economic disruption, public scrutiny, and the pressure of representing an entire city. But instead of tightening his grip, Bob chose to lead with trust.
In this conversation on Inner Work, he shares how he built a culture of calm, credibility, and collaboration, especially when things felt uncertain.
In this episode, Bob reflects on:
- The pressure to always have the answer and how to release it
- Why trust became the foundation for his team’s growth
- Leading through public scrutiny without losing your center
- What it looks like to create space for others to lead well
